Thank God for Girlfriend Collective
On an interview I was once asked if I could create my own spirit day at work, what would I chose? I’m guessing the typical answers were wacky sock day, Hawaiian shirt day but I went with “elastic waist band day”. I love a good pair of sweatpants- it is a race to get home and change into comfy clothes. Luckily I have the best job in the world and can wear my favorite article of clothing to work- leggings. I may have a problem and someday may need to attend an “are leggings really pants?” support group. I definitely don’t need another pair but I always seem to be on the look out for the perfect pair- good fit, good color, don’t slip, pockets- and I have found them! I first heard about Girlfriend Collective when they were launching. Instead of spending mass amounts of money on marketing they spent that budget on free leggings for all. For the price of shipping they offered women a pair of their classic leggings- which was genius. I instantly fell in love with them when I put them on. The more I researched Girlfriend Collective the more and more of a fan I become. They use all shaped and sized models in their marketing and offer sizes xxs to xxxl. THEN I found out that all of their clothing is made from recycled plastic water bottles. Their tagline is, “by focusing on humane manufacturing, meticulous design, and sustainable materials, we want to create a community of people who care about every step of the process” AND their price point is reasonable! So far I have ordered two pairs of leggings, the Paloma bra and a frances tee. There is definitely more in my online shopping cart.
